相模原公園ってどんな公園？
相模原公園は、26ヘクタールの面積を有する県立公園。
広い園内には芝生広場や手入れの行き届いたフランス式庭園、大温室などの施設があり、家族やカップルでのお出かけや1人で散策など、さまざまなシーンで楽しめる公園です。
四季を通じてさまざまな花が園内を彩り、桜やネモフィラ・花しょうぶ・バラなども楽しめますよ。
相模原公園の中心にある芝生広場は約27,000㎡と広大で、ピクニックやレクリエーションにもピッタリ。
夏には子供が水遊びできるエリアもあります。
また、園内はペットの連れ込みがOKで、ドッグラン(水・土・日・祝のみ利用可能)も無料で利用可能です。
相模原公園のシンボルでもある噴水広場は、両サイドにメタセコイヤの並木が続き、グリーンハウスを中心としたシンメトリックなフランス式庭園となっています。
手入れが行き届いた美しい庭園は、ゆっくりと散策してリフレッシュするのにピッタリです。
相模原公園の東側にある、県内有数の大温室「サカタのタネ グリーンハウス」もおすすめ。
「花と緑」をキーワードにした館内は、東南アジアの熱帯をイメージしたトロピカルガーデン(大温室)と、アトリウム(中央吹き抜けホール)に分かれています。

相模原公園の駐車場の場所
相模原公園には、中央駐車場と公園西駐車場があり、どちらも公園の西側にあります。
中央駐車場
メインとなる駐車場の中央駐車場は、相模原公園のメインエントランスとなるクスノキゲートに面しています。
282台駐車できる大型駐車場で、そのうち身障者用8台・EV充電用3台が用意されています。
中央駐車場へのアクセスは、国道16号線から行く場合は「鵜野森」または「若松二丁目」の交差点を西方向に曲がり、道なりに県道52号線を進んでください。
「相模原公園入口」の信号を直進し、「相模原公園前」の信号を左折して100mほど行った場所に中央駐車場があります。
圏央道から行く場合は、相模原相川ICから町田方面に入ります。
県道52号線を約2㎞進み、「相模原公園前」の信号を右折し、100ｍほど進むと中央駐車場です。
公園西駐車場
公園西駐車場は、県道52号線沿いにある、せせらぎの園地区に併設された駐車場です。
無料で利用できますが、相模原公園のメイン施設まで距離があり、大きな荷物がある方などは避けたほうがいいかもしれません。
水無月園(花しょうぶ園)に近いので、花しょうぶを見に来た方はこちらに駐車すると便利でしょう。
クヌギゲートという徒歩＆自転車専用の道を通ると、公園西駐車場から芝生公園やフランス式庭園がある公園まで徒歩10分ほどで到着できます。
アクセスは、国道16号線から行く場合は、「鵜野森」または「若松二丁目」の交差点を西方向に曲がり、道なりに県道52号線を進んでください。
「相模原公園前」の信号をそのまま直進し、150mほど進んだ場所に公園西駐車場があります。
圏央道から行く場合は、相模原相川ICから町田方面に入ります。
県道52号線を約2㎞進み、山の神坂下バス停を過ぎてすぐの信号を右折すると、公園西駐車場入口があります。
相模原公園のアクセス方法
相模原公園へのアクセスは、車での来園か、電車・バスを利用すると便利です。
電車・バスの場合は以下の方法でアクセスできます。

「県立相模原公園」のバス停は、相模原公園北側のユリノキゲート付近にあり、「女子美術大学」のバス停は、相模原公園中央あたり、サカタのタネ グリーンハウス付近にあります。

相模原公園には無料駐車場と有料駐車場があります。
以下では、無料駐車場の概要と、有料駐車場の料金をご紹介します。
無料で利用できる相模原公園の駐車場
相模原公園の公園西駐車場は無料で駐車可能です。
ただし、利用時間は7:00～19:00までと、中央駐車場より短くなっています。
また、利用時間を過ぎると出入口が施錠されてしまうのでご注意ください。
相模原公園 中央駐車場の駐車場料金
中央駐車場は、平日は最大で200円・土日祝は最大で610円と、リーズナブルな料金で駐車可能。
利用時間は6:00～20:00となっています。
公園の西側のメインエントランスにつながっており、メインの施設にも近くて便利です。

混み合う時間帯はいつ？相模原公園の駐車場の混雑具合をチェック！
上表は、相模原市が作成した、令和3年度7月の県立相模原公園・相模原麻溝公園の時間別混雑状況です。
最も滞在人口が多い時間を100%としたうえで、時間別の人出の状況を割合で表しています。
表によると、10:00～12:30あたりが最も混雑している時間帯だといえるでしょう。
中央駐車場は282台分あり、土日祝でも満車になることは少ないようですが、午前中～お昼過ぎは来園者が多く混み合うこともあります。
公園西駐車場は公園のメイン施設から少し離れているため、満車にはなりにくいようです。
ただし、規模が中央駐車場より小さいため、土日祝の午前中～お昼過ぎは混雑している場合もあります。
相模原公園の駐車場が満車の場合、相模原公園とつながっている「相模原麻溝公園」の駐車場も回ってみるといいでしょう。
相模原麻溝公園の駐車場は5カ所あり、中でも相模原麻溝公園の第1駐車場は相模原公園に近く便利です。
また、相模原麻溝公園は駐車場が無料となっていますので、お得に利用できますよ。
